Getting Stronger! In this video, Melissa will become a Powerful Hurricane this weekend! JAMAICA: Finish FULL HURRICANE PREPARATIONS as soon as possible. Catastrophic Flooding is likely in areas, along with Hurricane Winds. Please help those in your community, if you can, get to safer locations. Certain areas may be cut off from others for a substantial amount of time. Roads may be destroyed. With that, please, if you can, have food for many days on hand. We all have different means, so I am so thankful that everyone has been helping each other prepare. It is not easy at all. Power may be out for weeks. This will be a long duration event, lasting into Wednesday. HAITI: Life-Threatening flooding will happen tonight into this weekend along the Tiburon Peninsula. Communities may be cut off from other communities, and well-water locations. Rockslides will happen. Thank you for spreading the word that this rain will be intense, and thank you for helping others. The rain and flood threat continues for parts of the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, especially along the southern coast. The Cayman Islands, Eastern Cuba, Turks and Caicos, and Southeastern Bahamas should monitor this with me. Hurricane Melissa will eventually swing north with big impacts for certain areas.
