Israel’s southern city of Eilat has installed new bomb shelters on beaches, parks, and sports fields as it faces ongoing drone and missile attacks from Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The decision follows a recent attack where 20 people were wounded after a Houthi drone evaded Israeli defenses. On Sunday, the Houthis fired both a missile and a drone targeting Eilat, which were intercepted by Israeli defenses. Since March, the Houthis have launched dozens of missiles and drones amid Israel’s military actions in Yemen.
