Melissa is Coming! Please TAKE ACTION in Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic to protect lives and property from Tropical Storm Melissa. Melissa will most likely strengthen into a Hurricane. Regardless, the amount of rain will be EXTREME. If you live near water or on a hillside that might get a mudslide, please consider what you need to do to leave, if you can. We all have different means, so I appreciate those that have gone through a storm like this, helping those that have not. The worry here is just how slow this system will go. We've seen systems stall before: Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Dorian. Those are the ones that cause historic and life-threatening rain amounts.
