Ever wondered exactly how lethal a shoe can be? Ever thought to consider the socio-political history of pockets? Just how ugly CAN a Christmas sweater get? The answers to all of these mysteries and more can be found over on The Style Theorists channel. Back when I wrote ‘A Little Theorizing’, my song for Game Theory, Food and Film Theory both got a mention! But at the time I was writing it Style Theory had yet to come to be! (Though it had launched by the time the song released.) So I was honoured when earlier this year Amy and the team at The Style Theorists reached out to me to make a dedicated Style Theory song to perform at this year’s Creators in Fashion event. Finally a chance to make up for Style’s prior exclusion from my catalogue! And let’s face it, when have I ever excluded style in anything I do? 😉 We had a blast making the many costumes for this one, fifteen different outfits! I wrote a list of ‘things I like’ and then we worked out silly outfits inspired by many of them, such as Lego, detectives and snack food. A huge thanks to Benedict for all of his costume work as well as to Darcy for tailoring the Hello Dolly inspired outfit!
